The Foundation places people at the centre of its work. It operates in the field of art under the name Blank Art Foundation.
We support emerging talents and established artists with innovative project concepts. Our main focus of our funding lies on figurative painting, photography, video and applied art. We are also committed to the care and preservation of art and cultural heritage.
Painting
The Blank Art Foundation promotes contemporary forms of expression in figurative painting. Our guiding principles and inspiration are to be found in the pioneering national and international schools of figurative art.
We strive for excellence. We aim to support young people, especially at the beginning of their career, as they find and develop their artistic style.
The importance of promoting young talent is not limited to the individual development of artists. It also contributes to the preservation and enrichment of the artistic heritage, paving the way for new discoveries and ongoing creativity. It is an investment in the future of art and culture.
We sponsor artistic projects in contemporary photography and video art, as well as related events and installations. Our conceptual focus lies on the reflection of the human being and the representation of humanity in diverse media forms of expression.
Our aim is the visual presentation of current societal, cultural, scientific and economic associations. In a time of radical change and changing values it focuses on the resultant personal changes and the national and international effects on people. Highly diverse aspects are illustrated in a variety of ways by means of photography and video sequences reflecting the complexity of the historical and socially relevant subjects.

Are you interested in applying for funding? Please check whether your project or your academic or artistic study fits the objectives of our Foundation.
Project funding: Please send us a short description of the project (topic, objective, timetable and budget). If we think we might be able to support your project, we will ask you to complete a formal project application. A decision is usually made within three months.
Scholarships: We offer a limited number of scholarships for specific topics selected by the Foundation. Please visit our website in advance to discover the research areas for which we are offering scholarships. We look forward to receiving your application.
