Travelling exhibition: “Yours, Anne. A Girl Makes History.”

The travelling exhibition “Yours, Anne. A Girl Makes History” illustrates the story of Anne Frank’s life, from her childhood in Frankfurt am Main via her escape to Amsterdam to the last seven months in the concentration camps of Westerbork, Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen.

Since 2012, this successful project has visited various locations in Germany. It leaves a lasting impression by prompting an examination of anti-Semitism and discrimination in the past as well as the present.

Young people are trained locally as Peer Guides to accompany (young) visitors through the exhibition and discuss with them the value of freedom, equality and democracy.

The Blank-Mezger-Hesselberger Foundation provides financial support for the unique educational project of the Anne Frank Centre in Berlin, and in this context also supports the exhibition location in Ichenhausen, where the exhibition is on view in the Bavarian School Museum from 22 November 2024 until 6 January 2025.
